Nord Finance: Monthly Recap June 2021
By the end of every month, when we go through everything that happened, we are often overwhelmed by the amount of response we receive from our community. Be it product launches or community engagements, we make sure we are getting a step closer to making Decentralized Finance accessible to everyone. The month of June was no exception to this. We are proud of what we have accomplished and grateful for the Nord Community’s extended support.

Product and Technology Updates
Nord Savings V2 Community Beta Testing Program
We rolled out the Community Beta Testing Program for the Nord Savings V2 on the Polygon Mainnet. As we extensively develop newer and more robust technologies, we make sure no minor bugs hinder the user experience or the performance of any of our products. This Beta Testing Program helped us achieve exactly the same. We selected 50–100 of our community’s power users to be a part of Nord Vikings to take the first look at this protocol and $2500 was distributed as a reward. We are grateful for our community’s support to help us make DeFi accessible to everyone.
Update on Nord Finance Token Transparency
Our primary goal is to ensure extended DeFi accessibility and we believe this is only possible when we are transparent about our Token Distribution. We have released the tokenomics before and we continued to do it in June as well. Our communities deserve to know this information and we are committed to maintaining all-around transparency.

Nord Finance website redesign
At Nord Finance, we believe designing isn’t only about how it looks, but also about how it works. Keeping this in mind, we revamped our website to a more intuitive and modern design.
With a fresh new look and Dark/Light mode option, users can now easily navigate through our website to educate themselves better about Nord Finance.

Nord Savings V2 launch on Polygon
After extensive testing from our developers and enthusiastic community of power users, on 21st June 2021, Nord Savings V2, a Tier-Based Savings Protocol, went live on the Polygon Mainnet. This milestone made sure we were getting closer to realizing our mission of making Decentralized Finance accessible to everyone. We are so grateful for the amount of response and support we received from the community.

Nord Savings audit by Quill Hash
We are thrilled to announce that the Quill Hash audit for Nord Savings Protocol Tier System was successfully completed. This audit checked various levels of parameters of Nord Finance’s Smart Contract codebase, including quality, security, and correctness. This partnership enabled us to add an extra layer of safety for all our users.

NORD-DFYN Staking went live
The NORD-DFNY Ecosystem went live for Staking of $DFNY Tokens. This also enabled users to earn up to 450 $DFNY per day as rewards, for the first 60 days. In case you haven’t checked it out yet, hurry!

Whenever we encounter such exciting updates, we can’t wait till we share them with our community. After all, it’s our community that drives us closer to making DeFi accessible to everyone. We were so overwhelmed when $NORD Token was trending on CoinGecko, a leading Cryptocurrency exchange platform. We are grateful for our community’s extended and overwhelming support.
Extension of NORD-BUSD LP V2 Staking Program
Due to the increased participation from our community, we extended the NORD-BUSD LP V2 Program for another month. To make it easier for users to provide liquidity and stake NORD-BUSD CAKE LP Tokens, and earn APYs of up to 135% in $NORD.
To make this more exciting, 3000 $NORD tokens were distributed as rewards during the process.

Nord Advisory partners with Solidum Capital
This month kickstarted our partnership with Solidum Capital to further expand our intuitive solutions for Nord Advisory. This partnership provides a broader spectrum of utilities to help our users experience a whole new level of DeFi investments.

Extension of $NORD Tokens on BSC
With the overwhelming support of our community, we decided to extend the NORD Native Staking program on BSC for 30 days. Users will be able to stake $NORD and earn rewards in $NORD on BSC as a single asset and earn up to 40% APY.
BSC, being one of the fastest blockchain platforms, with quick transaction times, on-chain staking, low transaction fee, and increased network activities, users can now make the most of this extension.

Nord Vikings Ambassador Program
We launched the Nord Vikings Ambassador Program to encourage the power users of our community to play a role in the development of NORD and making DeFi more accessible. We were truly amazed by our community’s response and given below are the details for the same in case you missed it.

Nord Finance Online Carnival — Celebrating KuCoins Listing
To celebrate the $NORD listing on KuCoins, we hosted a giveaway campaign for qualified KuCoins users. A giveaway of 8200 $NORD Tokens was announced to reward the winners of the campaign. The details were as follows:
- Net Buying Competition: 4,500 NORD
- Holding Competition: 2,700 NORD
- Participation Rewards: 1,000 NORD
“Visual Guide” — A community video-making competition.
We hosted an engaging community-based video-making competition, to encourage our community’s talents to be showcased. The details of this competition were as follows:
The contest began on June 28th and went till July 11th. Participants had to make a YouTube video on any of the following/all categories:
- Nord Savings V2 on Polygon.
- Nord BSC staking.
- Transfer Nord token between ERC/BEP/Polygon with exchanges and wallets.
The participants had to use specific hashtags in their video submissions and had to mention steps by step process for every video. They had to use Metamask, trust wallet, or any other wallet supported by the platform.

Nord Finance Weekly Quiz Contest
To wrap things up, we conducted an engaging Weekly Quiz, where one lucky participant who answered all the questions correctly would be rewarded $25 worth $NORD Tokens. This contest went on from 29th June to 4th July 2021. One question was posted every day on the Nord Finance Telegram group, and further details were as follows:
- The prize would be credited to 1 winner chosen at random.
- The prize would be credited to the winner’s wallet within one week of the contest ending.
- Participants and Winners must be part of Our Official Social Media Links.
This Contest witnessed amazing responses from our community and we were as usual overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.
July, we are just getting started!
A lot happened in June, from new partnerships to product launches, everything took us a step closer to realizing our mission. But we are just getting started. As we enter the second half of this year, we have a lot of exciting stuff planned. Right from the very beginning, making Decentralized Finance accessible for each and everyone has been our dream. It gives us immense joy to receive such incredible support from our Nord Viking Community.
