Nord Finance: Monthly Recap July 2021
July was a very challenging month for us. With an unexpected hack of our bridge provider chainswap , we were forced to test new security limits for our products. But in spite of this road bump, we successfully managed to navigate out of this challenge by taking a community-first approach. We ensured complete transparency and addressed our community’s problems. With the support and engagement we received from our community, we are truly grateful for the Nord Vikings, who have helped us get closer to achieving our goal.

Product and Technology Updates
Nord Advisory is coming! Are you ready?
The Nord Advisory is almost here and we are thrilled to announce that it will be launching on 9th August 2021.
Every time we develop a new product, we make sure we keep our core values at heart — to make Crypto easier to use and to make Decentralized Finance(DeFi) more accessible to everyone. And Nord Advisory aims to do just that.
Nord Advisory is a Robo-advisory system that gives personalized investment solutions based on users’ risk profiles and financial goals. We believe this launch will take us closer to realizing our goal of making DeFi more accessible.

Partnerships and Ecosystem
ChainSwap Hack Transparency Update
As most of you already know, the ChainSwap platform was attacked on 10th July 2021 which resulted in the draining of liquidity pools for various projects, due to which Nord Finance assets were exploited adversely.
As a community-centric organization, we decided the best foot forward was to be transparent about the issue, and we did everything necessary to resolve the issue for all the stakeholders who suffered during this attack.
We asked our community members and stakeholders who were affected to fill out a Google Form that helped us analyze the aftermath of the ChainSwap attack.

Airdrop Announcements
After careful analysis of the ChainSwap attack. We have almost completed airdropping NORD tokens on our partner platforms. So far we have airdropped NORD tokens for BSC Staking Program holders and LP Program holders.
For LP Program holders, we have distributed USTD/NORD tokens separately.
$NORD staking on Polygon is now live
We are very happy to announce that $NORD staking is now live on the Polygon network. We always aim towards improving our product experience for the end-users and with Polygon, we took it to the next level.
LP Rewards program live on UniSwap
We have now launched the LP Rewards program on UniSwap. Users can now earn $NORD when they provide liquidity into $NORD/$ETH Pair and Stake LP Tokens.

Nord App gets a new UI

Community Updates and Marketing Events
AMA Session with GameOfBitcoins
The month of July started off with a bang. Nord Finance Co-Founder and CEO, Amarnath Reddy joined Gary from Game of Bitcoins on an AMA Session, where they discussed Crypto and the future of DeFi. And not just that, a few lucky followers who participated in the AMA won a $100 giveaway.

Nord Finance Weekly Quiz Contest
The Nord Finance Weekly Quiz Contest, where things always get exciting. One lucky participant who answered all the questions correctly would be rewarded $25 worth $NORD Tokens. This contest went on from the 5th of July to the 10th of July 2021. One question was posted every day on the Nord Finance Telegram group, and further details were as follows:
- The prize would be credited to 1 winner chosen at random.
- The prize would be credited to the winner’s wallet within one week of the contest ending.
- Participants and Winners must be part of Our Official Social Media Links.
This contest has always witnessed huge responses, and we can’t wait till the next one!
A Community Video on Using using NORD on Polygon
We released a community-based video guide to help our users understand how to use NORD on the Polygon network. This video explains:
