Nord Finance announces the successful Nord Savings V2 on BSC by blockchain security company Zokyo
Decentralized Finance is still evolving as an ironclad use case of blockchain technology. And as a constantly changing landscape, the threats targeting this sector are also continually evolving. To ensure DeFi continues to grow unabated, stakeholders must imbibe a continuous security approach to mitigate the threats of malicious actors within the space. Against this backdrop, Nord Finance constantly reviews its security architecture by employing the industry’s top security service to review and update our tech stack anywhere possible.
Earlier in the year, we announced how we are teaming up with Zokyo, a leading blockchain security and code audit firm, and immediately demonstrated our commitment to security by facilitating an audit of our smart contract code. We are happy to have attained another milestone as we have just received custody of the audit result of the audit report for Nord Finance- Nord savings v2 on BSC. Zokyo team carried out a thorough audit of our smart contract, and below are the results of their audit.
Highlights of the technical summary of Nord Savings v2 on BSC
The scope of this audit was to analyse and document the Nord Finance smart contract codebase for quality, security, and correctness. Testable code is ~97% which is above the industry standard of 95%.
Zokyo developers reviewed our smart contract line-by-line, documenting any issues as they are discovered. Part of this work includes writing a unit test suite using the Truffle testing framework. The team imbibed due diligence in assessing the overall code quality of the codebase and testing contract logic against common
and uncommon attack vectors. Zokyo team also conducted cross-comparison with other, similar smart contracts by industry leaders.
Throughout the review process, care was taken to ensure that the token contract:
- Implements and adheres to existing Token standards appropriately and effectively; Documentation and code comments match logic and behavior;
- Distributes tokens in a manner that matches calculations;
- Follows best practices in efficient use of gas, without unnecessary waste; Uses methods safe from reentrance attacks;
- Is not affected by the latest vulnerabilities;
- Whether the code meets best practices in code readability, etc.
Overall, there were no critical issues found during the audit. Any findings may affect only in the case of specific conditions performed by the contract owner. Most of the issues have medium, low, or informational severity levels. Also, the findings during the audit have a slight impact on contract performance or security, affect further development, and influence some. Nevertheless, all findings were successfully fixed by the Hats Finance team and has no impact on the current performance, so the contracts were certified fully production-ready.
Zokyo’s Security Team has concluded that Nord Savings V2 smart contract passes security qualifications.
